The Windmill Bella Vista stands tall upon a hill, giving superb views of the Aegean Sea, the Cyclades Islands and the beautiful villages and countryside that surrounds Artemonas.
Built in the 18th century, the windmill itself was originally an important commodity for the island, processing a large volume of produce for the inhabitants. After being left redundant in the 1950s, it quickly fell into disrepair, but work began in 1997 to restore it. Today, the windmill itself is the centrepiece of the hotel, offering you the chance to stay within its newly restored walls. It is complemented by a number of whitewashed studios and apartments, constructed in true Sifnos style with traditional stone architecture.

A municipality until 1998, Artemonas is one of the most picturesque villages in Sifnos, with predominant neoclassical architecture and beautiful gardens. Visitors can explore the house where the poet Gryparis was born, along with the churches of the Virgin Mary of Kohi and the Virgin Mary of Samos. The latter church was extended in 1788 and is now home to a rare icon of the Virgin Mary, depicted without the Holy Child.

Apollonia (one mile) - connected to Artemonas by both walking paths and bus routes, this village is the capital of Sifnos. The Museum of Popular Arts and Folklore and the frescoes of Agios Athanassios church are both worth a visit.
Kastro (2 miles) - this was the capital of the island between the 14th and 19th Centuries, and has medieval charm. Built on a rocky cliff-side area.

Stravovanie a občerstvenie
The traditional cafe-bar serves fine Mediterranean cuisine and the best delicacies from Sifnos. Only the best local products are used, including freshly caught fish, locally produced meat, home grown vegetables and traditional sweets from Sifnos.
A large selection of red and white Greek wines are available, including the hotel's “Windmill Bella Vista” wine, pressed with grapes from its vineyards.
Guests can also try 'Raki' (popular alcoholic beverage), accompanied by some local 'mezedes' (entrees).
Breakfast is included in the price and is served either at the snack bar or in guests' rooms. This includes a selection of fresh tea or coffees, homemade Sifnian cheese, sliced meats, fruit juice, eggs, toasted sandwich, cake and Sifnian sweets.
A snack bar is open all day from June 10 to September 30, serving light meals, ice cream, coffee and other drinks.
